City of Toronto - 2011 Budget
In February of 2012, City Council approved a $9.4 billion budget
which included a 2.5% property tax increase. The increase will
add abot $60 to the average property tax bill. With a $292
million surplus, City Council also decided to spend $15 million
save certain services and programs. that we planned to be cut.
This included childcare spaces, youth programs, homeless
shelters, ice rink and pools.
